Dr Reuben Ras is a specialist urologist who attained his MBChB from the University of Pretoria and received his Master’s Degree (MMED), specialising in Urology and Fellowship training from the University of the Witwatersrand. Dr Ras is passionate about all aspects of urology, but his interests lie in open and endoscopic surgery.

Dr Ras was appointed Medical Officer at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, where he worked in various departments such as Intensive Care, Urology, and General Surgery. He also worked as a medical officer in the Urology department at Helen Joseph Hospital and the General Surgery department at Job Shimankana Tabane Provincial Hospital.

While running his practice, Dr Ras is responsible for training urology registrars through the University of Witwatersrand. He has a special interest in robotic surgery and is adamant about pursuing it further.
